Pranayama, Ayurveda, Mind-Body Connection, Neurological/Digestive/Hormonal/Immune systems (4)

Dealing with problems of aging and neurological issues in yoga sessions. For example:
Balance problems
Movement disorders
Cognitive impairment
Pranayama as a therapeutic tool.
Foundations of traditional pranayama clarified, from Yogasutras as well as Hatha Yoga texts.
Understanding pranayama practically.
Teaching pranayama effectively to different populations.
Connecting pranayama and ayurveda.
Working with the mind-body connection
Sensory visualizations in yoga practice.
Motor visualizations in yoga practice.
Ayurveda and its relation to yoga.
Foundations and theory of the doshas.
Ayurvedic constitution (prakrti) assessment
Basic ayurvedic guidelines on lifestyle, diet, and useful herbs.
Disorder based guidelines. For example:
Parkinson’s disease, stroke
Multiple sclerosis and other auto immune disorders

M4: Pranayama, Ayurveda, Neurological, Immune, Digestive, Hormonal Systems
M5: Yogic Mindfulness, Guided Reflection, Depression & Addictions (Tamas)
M6: Relaxation, Mantra, Positive Psychology, Embodiment, Stress & Trauma (Rajas)
M7: Holistic case studies, Assorted topics.

Faculty: Dr. Ganesh Mohan son of A. G. Mohan and Indra Mohan, was trained from childhood in yoga and other related traditional studies. He is a doctor, having trained in both modern medicine and Ayurveda. He is the co-author of Yoga Therapy, Krishnamacharya, and Yoga Reminder. He directs the Svastha Yoga Therapy and Teacher Training programs as well as other trainings internationally
